In the beginning, our sweatshop created shirts.

And the shirts were sponsorless and void; and darkness was upon the surface of the drip.

And our creative team of child labourers said "let there be branding." And there was branding.

And they saw the brand, and it was a cigarette company. And it was good.

And they called the company Holy Smokes, and  Jesus said 'smoke'.

And on the final day, they released an initial run of 250 to the general public.

A sports washing-inspired piece created by children, featuring Holy Smokes, a new cigarette brand, also created by children.

Our creative team of 7-11 year olds sought to subvert the typical cigarette packaging they encountered, which they saw as carrying dire warnings about Jesus' stance on smoking. And lo, Holy Smokes was born, a name they believe has a sophisticated, timeless appeal. We agree.

Georgio Pevani also appears on the shirt’s chest. Georgio Peviani is a fashion brand that has been in circulation since the 1990s and is the creation of Adam Asmal of Denim World, Whitechapel. It was brought to global attention when it was featured at the heart of Oobah Butler’s 2018 VICE film, “How I Faked My Way To The Top Of Paris Fashion Week”.

A portion of proceeds from this product will go towards international solidarity campaigns that focus on building connections of mutual aid and support of workers, and tackling the major issue of sweatshop conditions in the garment industry.
